i personally feel that only selfish and stupid people pay attention to appearance of other people at the first place while getting acquainted with them, because as for me appearance is just one little fractional element of the whole portrayal of a human being. A person should possess something that is worth paying attention to or being proud of. HAving just a good appearance, but no brains is not good. In our modern society people need to understand that being handsome and having a beautiful body doesn't mean anything.
Beautiful body means a lot, I should say it means everything nowadays. People with good bodies receive more attention, good attention, others want to spend time with them, but not with us. People look at appearance first, and if person is not beautiful they don't want to know them better. I faced such attitude almost whole my life, I get used to this and I don't believe it can be different. And I blame only myself in this. I would also have no desire to know myself better.
I think that body is just the result of how you like yourself and people who pretend to be fat are very ugly in their souls, because they do not respect their selves, but there are exceptions who cannot deal with being plump, because they are sick or have severe health problems.
