Living together with parents

What do you think about living together with parents? It is okay and how long it is normal to live with parents? I think that it is difficult to become more independent and mature being with your mom and dad all the time , but my friend, who lives with his parents, thinks differently. He says it is comfortable for him and he is not going to move to another place. What about you?
When you started to live apart?

Of course it depends on a situation and ability of a person to be independent, to provide normal living for himself without a help. And if he can live apart, it is better to use this chance.

I agree with you that it is better to start your own life earlier, no matter on your relationships with parents. You can still be close, but you will be able to live independently by your own rules and learn how to be adult and care about yourself at first, and others after.

It means that he just do not want to get additional responsibilities and to become more mature. He is trying to be closer to his parents because it is easier for him. No need to feed himself, to rent appartnemnt, to earn more to provide himself a suitable life and so on. But I think it is wrong. Maybe he is young? how old is he?

He is 25, I do not think he is too young for going to a new stage in his life. But he is not ready, I just wonder if he would say the same if he fall in love, meet someone, will he take her to parents too? :)

I startned to live apart from my parents when i went to college, then I rent an appartment and I think it was right time. But 25 is not too early to learn how to be independent. I think it will not be easy to start living with a woman for him, if he did not try to live alone.

I agree that it is better to learn how to live alone instead of waiting till you get from mommy to girlfriend and suprise her with your helpless at home, household, planning budget and so on.

Yes, I told him that he will start learning all this stuff when he find someone, instead of being ready before. But he does not agree. Anyway it is his own business. Maybe it is better for him. I started to live apart 8 years ago, when I was 18 and never regretted.
