One of the great pros of international adoption is the wait can be less than a year, depending on the country you choose. There is also greater amount of children that you can choose to adopt.

Neither domestic nor international adoption is necessarily more or less expensive than the other; it all depends on the particular situation. International adoption involves a traditional waiting list. Once you are on the list, you wait as you rise to the top. With domestic adoption, you create a “personal profile” shown to prospective birthmothers until one selects you, which can happen at any time.

For a domestic adoption, you need to have a homestudy completed by an agency in your state. You can then either be in the pool of that agency (if they have an adoptive parent pool), or you can have your homestudy agency send the homestudy to an out of state agency. The advantage of being in the pool within your own state may be monetary. A lot of the larger, out of state agencies charge a substantial fee to be in their pool. However, because they charge the fee, they are able to advertise and attract more birthmothers. You need to ask an agency how many adoptive parents are in their pool, how many adoptive parents were in the pool the year before, and how many placements they had. Also, it is great if you can find a local agency and establish a rapport with them. If you stay with a local agency and they have birthmoms from your area, you will be able to establish a relationship with the birthmom while she is pregnant, which will let her find peace that she has selected the right couple to parent her child. It will give the adoptive parent the opportunity to learn a lot about her background.

In my opinion local adoption - much better. This is much faster anyway. And you can always choose the child you want. I do not see any reason to look for the child to another country. Our countries also have enough children without parents. So, you can make someone happy in your country without any problems. And you will become parents much faster than the other way. So you have to think very well about it. In any case, I will adopt my child from a local orphanage. And I think this is the best option to have a child. So thinks and choose.

of course i can say it without any doubts that local adoption will be muсh quicker than international and it is not surprising. it will be easier for you to gather all the documents and you will take the child. but international is also good especiall if in your country it is not allowed for gay coples to adopt the child. but i think that it is very difficult and it is also expensive to go through iternational adoption. i dont think that it is worthy all that things that you do for it.

I think that your child will know that you made a loving decision to choose the best life possible for them. Your child will be grateful for your courageous decision and thankful that so many people care about him or her.there are also some advantages for adoptive family: receiving the joy and blessing of adding a child to their family, ability to fulfill dreams of raising a child, provide a loving home to a child, opportunity to meet and form a relationship with the birth parents. Think adoption is a good way out for child and for IPs.

Honestly, I am not aware of this moment. But I also know this well-known fact, and actually I don't understand why it is so. Why do you think that it is easier way to get a child in your own country, than in foreign one?! Maybe the second variant is easier one?

Because sometimes it just might be easier to adopt a kid in other country, than your own-it all depends on the laws.It can be unbelievably stupid sometimes, especially towards the gay couples-now,why that's not surprising to all of us.It is a great choice and decision itself,to adopt a baby and all I truly can do,is to congratulate you with this one.Sometimes it's better to adopt a kid from not such a developed country as you live in-you'll give that kid a choice for overall better life.Just ask Angelina Jolie or Charlize Theron. ;)

i think that loal adoption has definitely more advantages than international adiotion. as you hav mentioned it is really easier and you will not have to be so busy with it, you will not need so many documents for he local as fpr the international adoption. and of course it will take really much time for you to do it, adoption itself can take much of time but international may be very long. raising the child is difficult but raising the child of different society and nationality is much more difficult.

First of all, i think it's very good that you are ready to become a father and you decided to adopt a child :woohoo: You know,i think your decision is worth respecting, cause most of guys want to have child by surrogacy for him to be blood son/daughter...By itself, the procedure of adoption is a process by which the child deprived of parental care is taken in the family to other people. The international adoption - the form of family placement of orphaned children in which the child - citizen of one country is adopted by citizens of another country. foreign child adoption programs work around the world.
