Million $$$

I read about a lot of people that became broke and lost everything within 5 years of winning millions of dollars in the lottery. Some of them ended up owing a lot of money and some of them committed suicide. So I would put it all in the bank and live off the interest. A lot of it would go into guaranteed investment certificates. As far as spending the money I would buy some nice things but try to keep my living expenses low. That way I could quit working for money and spend some time traveling. I would keep myself busy by traveling, taking pictures, writing articles and answering questions. And what would you do with this big big sum?

you are right about many people become crazy with such money. actually i don't understand why, may be because i have never had them, but i think if you have a big summ so you have to gather your brain and do something useful with them. i would lay out some part for urgent needs of my and my relatives, and would set a-going in buiness other part to earn more money

Of course, I wouldn't spend the whole sum on buying some stupid things. But I would buy for me and my nearest and dearest everything they need. A huge part of this money will be spent on traveling. It is the only possible way to buy new impressions and new positive emotions. My partner and I love traveling, seeing new unusual places, meeting different people. But unfortunately it is too expensive and we cannot allow ourselves to go somewhere every year. We are not extreme lovers, we prefer safe traveling with all conditions and comfort. And it is never cheap. So, we would travel a lot and enjoy our life

Pay off my close family's debts and give them a small amount each, help my parents. Then buy myself a nice little house and rent that out for a few years while I went travelling.I kind of love the romantic idea of buying a yacht and sailing around the world (I would definitely travel the world).

If I had a million dollars I would visi concerts of all my favourite bands and meet all the celebrities I wanted to meet. I would leave my job at least for a couple of months just to sleep enough and to do nothing. I would open my personal art gallery. I would record my own song on the recording studio. I would go to Australia to learn surfing. I would climb on Everest. I would admire the view of paris from the Eiffel Tower. I would by my own horse (may be even not one, may be I would have a business, horse riding school or something like this) and I'll buy a house for my parents.

I would travel, move to Paris with my boyfriend, give some money to charity and of course give money to my parents. Also I'd bought couple of houses which I could give to receive rent and I'd save those money for some unexpectable moments.

Personally, I think a million is enough to retire on, but only because I I don't have to support any kids or anything, and because I don't have expensive tastes, and because I'm really, really, really good with money. Most people can't believe I live on the income I do. After paying the taxes off, I'd invest it. I'd try to live as cheaply as possible in the meantime, and probably work at least another year so that I could live off my current income and let all the after-tax million do its work

I can start living off the income from it, and still have some to spare to keep investing. And then later when it's worth more, I can relax and start doing more fun things, like traveling. Don't know if I'd buy a bigger house, but I might get a different one, but really, I just moved and hate to do it again. LOL.
I wouldn't, however, expect to be rich unless I invested really well. I'd hope, but wouldn't count on it. But I don't need to be rich, just more comfortable that I'm OK with money.

Every day, I drive past a new and pricey block of apartments in an amazing area in Australia's capital, Canberra. There is a corner penthouse apartment that seems to have been vacant since they were built. The view from the balcony would be amazing- you would be looking directly at parliament house. The apartment just seems to have a magnetic pull to me... Every time i see it, I say "There's my apartment!". If I had a million dollars, I would buy it, clear my debts, treat my parents and brother and if there was any left over I would put it in the bank. Hmm, better go and buy a lottery ticket now!

I would buy an apartment, travel to Europe and buy many many books.
And most important, I would help my family : )
