Hi, guys) Let's speak about things that makes us happy and cheer us up when we are sad. One of these things may be music. I beleive that there is hardly a person in the world who is not keen on music. As for me I am big fan of musical tunes. I like to listen to different kinds of music such as classical music, pop-music, progressive house. What about of your? What tunes can make you crazy and which ones you can't bear? How does music influence your life? Can it cheer you up or make you sad? I ask such kinds of questions because music do influence on us. I remember a dating with one guy. We listened to a romantic piece of music and exactly this song helped me to reveal my feelings towards him

I understand you. Music means to me a lot. There are songs which I listen to when there are words I need to hear but there is nobody who would tell them to me. I listen to music when I feel upset and need support. I listen to music when my heart is full of joy and I want to share it with the whole world. There are songs which were written, as it seems, specially for me, for my pain and my joy, as a key to my heart to bring me the massage I need to understand the only possible way. There is a music in my heart and I cannot imagine my life without it.

I agree that there are songs in which we hear what we need and want to hear, even if the songwriters, writing it, did not mean it and wanted to put in their song totally other message. This is the main benefit of music, as well as any other kind of art, it is subjective and even if wo people will listen to the same song, their opinions about it will be completely different both from one another and from the opinion of people who wrote and sang it. And it is really beautiful that each of us can find something exactly for him, something which can cure exactly his heart.

The massage hidden in music is not only in the text. There is also instrumental music where there is no text at all, but it also has some sense, something for us to understand, something which touches some strings in our heart making us think about something which is important exactly for us, which is close to us. We listen to music not only with ears, but with hearts and souls which usually understand much more. Even if there are songs with words, these words will be in a foreign langguage which we don't speak, but we still understand what the song is about.

May be I will say a banal thing, but music for me is a distresser first of all. Nothing can help me to get rid of negative emotions better than music. And it is about both sad and funny songs. Sad songs help me to cry the pain out of myself, to let it go, to set myself free. And then when this step is left behind I usually listen to something loud and fast - I dance and sing along, it takes my blues away and after a couple of hours of such a therapy I become a completely different person - positive and smiling. Music can cure everything with no exception.

Music is a source of inspiration.. If you are a creator, you need to find new sources of inspiration to work more productive;ly. And all the things which usually inspire us can let us down. For example, nature is known as a great source of inspiration for several generations of poets, artists, musicians, sculptures and other creative people. But i the weather is like today's and you don't want to write\play\draw anything depressive, then it will never give you the inspiration you need. And not everybody likes to admire the views of nature. And music is universal.

I agr4ee that music is a great source of inspiration, because inspiration means nothing but increasing of feelings - to the nature, to ourselves, to other people, to life in general. And if there is nothing in your life which may possibly cause the increasing of the level of emotions, then music can be some kind of magic pill - 3 minutes of a song which is close to you and speaks right to your heart can cause an emotional storm which may help you to create soething special and beautiful and special. And music inspires us to live and to enjoy our life fully

Music saves us from getting bored. Every thing we do becomes much easier and funnier if we do it having an acceptable musical background. Going to the office by bus is boring, but whhen thew voice in your earphones screams something appropriate (AC\DC usually. Can you imagine a bus, a crowd of people, no place to sit and the lack of place to stand and "I'm on the highway to hell") it becomes 10 times less boring and even funny. With music evven the worst moments of life seem better and you even enjoy going through them! Music makes life better.

Music gives us motivation. I don't know whether you dealt with it in your own life, but such a situation has happened to me several times. I thought whether to do or not to do something, turned the radio on and the radio screamed to me "Do it!" (or something which might be understood as "do it" in my several case) and it gave me enough strength and courage because it was like a sign from above that I should definitely do it, it is a right decision and I will succeed if I do it. Usually I don't believe in signs from above, but the power of motivation is something I strongly believe in.

Yes, music is a good motivation and it even can save lives. At least once it has happened to me. I was in a deep depression and did not see a reason to live. And then I heard a song in which the main massage was that you should not give up because life is wonderful. I cannot say that it was the first time I've heard this song, it was a hit of one rrather popular band and I already as a fan of that band at that moment. But till then I had no idea what is the song about, I just listened to it without trying to understand the text. It was for me to understand exactly at that moment.

Music help us to express our thoughts. We all know what it means when you are just unable to find right words to explain what you feel. You cannot even tell it to yourself, and as for telling to other people it is a different story. So you listen to music (and not necessarily with words which describe your feelings and emotions exactly, the answer may be hidden in instrumental music with no words, everything depends on the way you personally understand it), you hear it and think "Yes, this is it! This is exactly what I feel and what I was trying to say!"
