Is plastic surgery dangerous?

All surgeries, including cosmetic procedures, carry risk. Those with a history of cardiovascular disease, lung disease, diabetes or obesity have a higher risk of developing complications such as pneumonia, stroke, heart attack or blood clots in the legs or lungs. Smoking also increases risks and interferes with healing. A meeting with the surgeon will include a discussion of these risks and others related to the patient's health history. Possible complications for any surgical procedure include:
Complications related to anesthesia, including pneumonia, blood clots and, rarely, death
Infection at the incision site, which may worsen scarring and require additional surgery
Fluid build up under the skin
Mild bleeding, which may require another surgical procedure, or bleeding significant enough to require a transfusion
Obvious scarring or skin breakdown, which occurs when healing skin separates from healthy skin and must be removed surgically
Numbness and tingling from nerve damage, which may be permanent.

Of course, plastic surgery may have an adverse effect not only on body but also on mental health. Almost daily you can read about how the man forgot something or a procedure gone wrong, the doctors and the patient disfigured beyond recognition. Plastic is a necessity, but many people see it as almost a magic wand that takes the form of a scalpel. Any surgery is risky enterprise. If it is simple, the risk is lower if challenging then above. But the fact remains that you can get blood poisoning or trigger unwanted processes. Failure to comply with sterility, wounds can heal, and where there should have even markings, there may appear ugly scars. May develop purulent inflammation or the body will reject the implant. One hundred percent guarantee does not give any sane doctor.

Well, think personally that is has many risks. The potential for nerve damage is present in many different types of surgical procedures. Numbness and tingling are common after plastic surgery and can be signs of nerve damage. Most women experience a change in sensitivity following breast augmentation surgery and 15 percent permanently lose nipple sensation. Though postoperative care includes steps to reduce the risk of infection, it remains one of the more common complications of plastic surgery.Anesthesia is the practice that allows patients to undergo surgery without feeling the procedure.

Yes, of course there is the risk that you will be hurt from the plastic surgery, because everybody is different and you should not pay attention to those comment that are given by people who have written them. You are the personality and you have unique organism, consult the doctor what you need t know if you decided to make the surgery.

We are a human , we come from different walks of life. The ageing process is hard, we are hardest on ourselves. The only thing that really bugs the crap out of me about plastic surgery is the fact that I know for certain Hollywood doesn’t have just one plastic surgeon and obviously some of these surgeries took place decades apart, so why is it that every. single. one. of them, every woman who gets the cheek implants, the collagen lips, the nose job…all look EXACTLY the same? Same pillow face, same fish lips, same too-narrow nose…is there some sort of plastic surgery template that every doctor uses?. It’s creepy and I feel like I’m looking straight into that uncanny valley.

All surgery is dangerous to a degree. A good surgeon will tell you all the risks before your surgery. These risks will change based on the type of surgery you have. It's up to you to decide whether or not the risk is worth it. Make sure to get a reputable surgeon (you can research online) and I highly encourage you to meet with multiple surgeons and decide which one you like best. Most offer free or low-cost consultations. Also make sure that you're having your surgery for the right reasons. Have it because *you* want it. No other reason is acceptable. Some people who go under the knife for the wrong reasons regret it in the end. Cosmetic surgery can definitely boost self esteem, but you have to love and appreciate the you on the inside too. Be confident, and rock what you got whether you change it or not! Best of luck!

I suggest that every surgery can be seemed as the potential danger to our organisms as this is that you need to exclude from your the life list. You literally make the things that have not be given to you from birth and i guess that plastic surgery is good only for those who has been damaged in a catastrophe or something like that.

The biggest danger of any plastic surgery is the unpredictability of the result. :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: Any operation, even to remove her Appendix, has the risk of complications and even death. It does not depend on professionalism of a doctor. In medicine we call it - the individual characteristics of the organism. You can never be 100% sure how to lead the patient's body. Unfortunately, we still know very little of our body. In religion it is called God's will or even punishment, because for three major religions, plastic surgery is a sin.

It is very interesting theme thank you. In my opinion every surgical operation means risks and stresses for your organism. But if it is really necessary and there is no way out, it iis better to do it instead of being afraid of possible risls. There are people who lost their faces , in all meaning of this word, in car accident or they cannot breathe normally because of some deefects of nose or...who knows, there may be mane reasons to apply for a plastic surgery service. It is risky, but if something spoils your life and does not let you live the full life of a normal person, it is worth it.

Yes, of course, plastic surgery has a lot of useful properties. Thanks to it, many people got rid of the complexes associated with congenital or acquired pathologies)))And if before plastic was available only rich and famous, today it resorted more and more ordinary people who want to improve the appearance and prolong youth. unfortunately, it does not try to look young longer, there are individual characteristics of the organism, in which even leading the most healthy lifestyle and is taking care of your skin is still aging begins to manifest itself clearly programmed in the genes
