It'll help you tone up everywhere, not just your legs. Your body stores fat everywhere and removes it from everywhere, not a specific target area, the solution for target reduction is only lipo. It's generally great exercise and your life will be much better for it. Appearantly there's a great thrill from finishing a marathon. Some advice, eat healthy, with jogging and running, when you're training, if you don't eat you'll be exhausted and it'll stop you from losing the weight you want. Another thing is keep a diary of your progress and work towards a goal.

Running and jogging

While running, are utilized almost all the muscles of our body. While they have a good run and train. Healthy muscles – healthy joints.
While running cleansing of the body occurs. Produces sweat, and with it all the muck and leaves our body.
Training of cardiovascular system. Trains the heart, improves circulation, and, consequently, the supply of organs with oxygen.
Running helps to fight depression. After a good run (and if Jogging is very good, and during it) the body releases the hormone of happiness.
Running has beneficial effects on the immune system, the Central nervous system.
Running promotes hardening, if you go Jogging in the fresh air.
In the end, running develops personal qualities such as self-control, determination, will power. Physically fit people above self-esteem.

Running is faster, uses more kilojoules and demands more effort from the heart, lungs and muscles than jogging. Running requires a higher level of overall fitness than jogging. Both running and jogging are forms of aerobic exercise. Aerobic means 'with oxygen' – the term 'aerobic exercise' means any physical activity that produces energy by combining oxygen with blood glucose or body fat.

The American College of Sports Medicine Position Statement on Exercise is a document chock-full of studies proving that vigorous exercise yields plenty of health benefits. One of the major points of the position statement is that there is a dose response to exercise; that is, the more you do, or the harder you do it, the more benefit you accrue. But this point is not to discount moderate exercise. You get plenty of benefit from moderate exercise, it's just that vigorous exercise seems to accrue even more benefit. The ACSM report makes it clear that "many significant health benefits are achieved by going from a sedentary state to a minimal level of physical activity; [but] programs involving higher intensities and/or greater frequency/durations provide additional benefits. For example, it was shown in one study that individuals who ran more than 50 miles per week had significantly greater increases in HDL cholesterol (the good fat) and significantly greater decreases in body fat, triglyceride levels, and the risk of coronary heart disease than individuals who ran less than 10 miles per week. In addition, the long-distance runners had a nearly 50% reduction in high blood pressure and more than a 50% reduction in the use of medications to lower blood pressure and plasma cholesterol levels

Sometimes I do morning exercises, but I prefer running or jogging more. i put my earphones on, turn the music on and run for 1-2 hours. I hate wake up early in the morning, but actually I love watching sunrise, fresh air, empty streets, It's inexpressible feeling and I love it a lot. It's not only good for health, but it also boost energy, It's better then coffee and healthy, what we can't say about caffeine. After running I feel myself active and energetic at work, my mind is active too by the way! So I think there are many benefits of running and jogging and everyone should do it to stay healthy and productive for the whole day.

I prefer more running exercises , because in that case all your muscles are acting and playing together, so yes , running. Also i wanted to add that according to the thing that i am 3 moths after the operation i cannot much attention to the running , because not everything has passed , i mean health problems.
